Even if you are on a tight travel budget, why not stop by the legendary Palm Room Restaurant at The Plaza Hotel for a lovely $8 glass of chilled sake?
The dress code is casual, the environment is classy, the staff is super friendly, and you make yourself at home using the restrooms, WiFi and lobby area as though you were a guest – while saving the $500/day cost of staying here overnight.
$8 is a serious bargain for a proper drink at any bar in this New York – much less one as classy and historic as the Palm Room.
For anyone traveling to NYC, I recommend you pop in to the Plaza even if t’s just to take a few pictures in the lobby.
The hotel’s landmark location on the corner of 5th Avenue at 58th Street is impossible to miss – conveniently located across the street from the Apple Store, FOA Schwartz toy story, and the South East corner entrance to Central Park.
